Letter to CARB regarding Low Carbon Fuel Standards (LCFS) March 30, 2009
Expressing serious concern about the state's plan to press on with a reformulation of California's transportation fuels, this letter states the staff report on the new standard is 'seriously deficient on both economic and environmental grounds.'

Low Carbon Fuel Standards Comments --
Proposed Economic Analysis (December 19, 2009)
Over 40 California businesses and organizations submitted this letter the to California Air Resources Board regarding components necessary to develop a strong foundation for the implementation of the Low Carbon Fuel Standards (LCFS). These recommendations safeguard the continuation of reliable and affordable supplies of transportation fuels for California’s consumers and businesses.
Open Letter to CARB (December 10, 2008)
This letter, representing 65 California business and taxpayer organizations, expresses concern regarding the economic analysis of the AB 32 Scoping Plan, stating the Plan as currently written seriously underestimates the cost AB 32 implementation will have on consumers and business and the negative impact it will have on jobs and the economy. The letter asks CARB to conduct a new economic analysis to make sure the plan is the right way to protect California jobs and the economy while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

As part of the AB 32 process, several major Real Estate Groups including CBPA, ICSC, NAIOP, and BOMA California have funded efforts to quantify energy efficiency of new and existing buildings, and to think through the most efficacious way to incent energy efficiency under the regulatory scheme.
